Where It All Began
Chari Weatherford is a free-hand, intentional and ceremonial piercer with over 25 years of experience. Starting in southern Oregon in 1999, she managed Custom Body Art in Medford for ten years. She then furthered her studies attending Fakir Intensives, first completing basic, and then advanced courses. Fakir Musafar is considered the Father of the Modern Primitive Movement, a piercer known worldwide for his 50+ years of research and personal exploration of body modification.
It was during her experience there she received the inspiration to open Ritual Evolution in 2008. "For many, there can be deep transformations made through body piercings. I wanted a sacred space to honor our experiences through these ancient and continuing traditions." Chari is a Reflexologist and Level III Usui Reiki practitioner.
With our current downtown location Ritual is growing. We currently host multiple artists. We have 4 tattoo artists on staff including a permanent cosmetic artist. Piercing artists in training may be available for discounted piercings. Chari is available full time. Check with us for details.
